“Home isn’t a place, its a feeling” – Celia Ahern
Homesickness is something that every ex-pat suffers from at one point or another. And for some time, in the beginning at least, the longing for home can be so great that ones mind cannot think of much else. Returning to family, friends and that which is familiar is a fantasy that can occupy much thought and personally, was half seriously considered.
Now, three months in, I can safely say, for better or worse, Istanbul is our home. Our job, our flat, our life. This is where we belong. At least until June…..
Here are images of what home is to us, in Istanbul, courtesy of my new camera.
